What’s better than finding a well-made, good-looking watch at an affordable price? Supporting a cancer research charity when you buy it!

Worn & Wound delivers this unique opportunity with the Conquer chronograph by boutique watchmaker Boldr. The 41mm titanium watch with a 24-minute counter runs on a Seiko caliber VK64 meca-quartz movement.

Worn & Wound

It is the official watch of Worn & Wound’s team participating in the 2025 Queen Margaret Ride to Conquer Cancer, a Canadian charity cycling event, but you don’t have to ride to pick one up.

A bold, fun two-piece nylon pin-buckle strap designed by Worn & Wound and Straphabit for the charity, also available individually, adds some flavor to the subdued, mostly monochrome watch.

It also comes with a green nylon NATO strap that matches the sub-dials for a toned-down look.

The Conquer retails for a shockingly affordable $399, and $80 from every purchase goes directly to the cancer research foundation.

An original design

It would be easy for a watchmaker to throw some minor updates on an existing design for a charity project, but Boldr came up with a completely new look for the Conquer.

The outdoor-centric watchmaker geared the dial toward cycling with a simple layout that is easy to read at arm’s length and big bumper-style pushers.

Titanium was the obvious choice for a sport where minimizing weight is critical, and the almost-flat case measures 46mm lug-to-lug, sitting comfortably on top of the wrist.

Unlike auto racing chronographs that feature tachymeter tracks and can measure a tenth of a second, this cycling-oriented timer has a simple 60-second track and a 24-minute sub-dial.

Worn & Wound

The Seiko caliber VK64 movement powers the running time with a quartz movement, meaning that the seconds sub-dial has a jumping hand. Timing on the central seconds hand is done mechanically with a smooth sweep.

On the reverse side, the Ride to Conquer Cancer’s “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” slogan and logo are printed on the screw-in exhibition case back.

A group effort

The Conquer comes on the existing Worn & Wound x Straphabit Ride to Conquer Cancer Team Watch Strap, technically making it a three-part collaboration.

It is made of nylon sailcloth with a synthetic leather lining and reinforced buckle holes. The pin-buckle is stainless steel, and it comes with quick-release spring bars.

The strap is available separately, and 100% of the profit goes to the Princess Margaret Cancer Center.

The Princess Margaret Ride to Conquer Cancer is a 200-plus kilometer cycling event with multiple paths to cater to all levels of riders.

It runs from Toronto to Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario, Canada and takes place June 7-8.

Whether you’re into cycling or not, this sleek titanium chronograph is a fantastic bargain on a lightweight and reliable watch suited for all manner of outdoor adventures.
