Timex has a serious contender for best ultra-affordable integrated steel sports watch with the Continental GMT. The case is perfectly proportioned with a 39mm width and a scant 9mm height. The dial and hands are clean and simple, leaving plenty of space for the date-style GMT window at six o’clock. It runs on a quartz movement and comes in a blue dial with a steel bracelet and a steel dial with a blue rubber strap.

Brew celebrates its 10th anniversary with a manual version of its flagship Metric watch. It features a Sellita SW210-1B caliber but perhaps more novel are its unique “mountain-top markers” that reflect light from different angles for a touch of extra sparkle.

The Sunray Dial Limited Edition is a collaboration between Dennison and Collectability, one of the world’s most authoritative sources for all things vintage Patek Philippe. The watch itself references the grail-worthy Ellipses, however, unique finishings keep it closer to “homage” than “dupe” territory. The best part? It clocks in at just $690.

After being revived by LVMH in 2023, famed watch designer Daniel Roth’s eponymous brand is gradually recreating watches from its vaunted archive. First released in 1990, the Extra Plat is back in regular production for the first time since 1994. The 35mm rose gold case houses a hand-wound movement designed and assembled by the brand’s current Master Watchmakers at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton.

Citizen’s Echo-Drive One, an ultra-thin collection of light-powered watches, has been around since 2016, featuring cases as thin as 2.98mm. While the newest iteration is a relatively bulky 4.5mm thick, the extra room allows for a small seconds dial with Citizen’s Washi paper dial. A rose-gold-plated case and an alligator leather three-piece clasp complete what may be Citizen’s best-looking dress watch, ever.

Doxa updated the Sub 200 collection with a polished steel bezel option for all eight dial colors. The simple 42mm dive watch, with 200m water resistance, was already the brand’s most affordable option. As a bonus, the radial brushed Sea Emerald green dial is offered with a NATO strap, bringing the price below $1,000 for the first time since the current collection was introduced.

Hamilton fixed the biggest flaw with its initial all-black PVD Kahki Navy Frogman Auto, dial visibility. This beastly 46mm automatic diver is built for SCUBA diving with 300m water resistance, a unidirectional bezel and Hamilton’s signature crown guard. However, legibility is critical under water, so this update includes contrasting luminescent white applied indices and hand inlays, framed in brushed steel. It runs on an in-house caliber H-10 automatic movement with an 80-hour power reserve.

Swatch utilizes the proprietary Biocermaic found in the MoonSwatch and Fifty Fathoms collaborations to bring the same bold color palette to a collection of very affordable dive watches. Inspired by jellyfish, the Subaqua has a 44mm case with an integrated rubber, blending solid and translucent materials. It runs on quartz, has 100m water resistance and comes in red, blue, black, yellow and white.

Farer drew from the rich history of English botany when designing the Lissom collection. All five watches are saturated with rich organic hues and named after notable British botanists. The 38mm polished steel case features brushed side panels and curves at the lugs to hug the wrist, allowing it to wear even smaller than its size suggests. To accommodate the slight 8mm case height, a manual winding La Joux-Perret caliber D100 movement is used. Each watch comes on a suede strap that matches the dial or accent color by default, or six other options are available, including a stainless steel mesh bracelet.

Hublot spent three years redesigning how an automatic watch movement works and looks, resulting in the MP-10, an automatic watch without a dial, hands or oscillating wheel. The time and a power reserve meter are displayed on a vertical column built into the movement. Power comes from the movement of two linear weights flanking the angled tourbillon regulation, mounted in a 41.5mm case. This new case design comes in a microblasted black ceramic and a transparent sapphire crystal, and is limited to 50 pieces.

Literally pulled from the archive, this Squale dive watch uses 300 dead stock cases and 100 dead stock steel bracelets left over from the 1980s. The 36mm steel case houses an ETA caliber 2892-A2 automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve. The black dial and the navy blue dial each come with a black rubber tropical strap, while the sky blue dial comes with a dead stock brushed steel bracelet. The collection is limited to 300 pieces, 100 of each dial color.

Hamilton introduces a GMT complication to the 43mm Khaki Navy Scuba collection. It comes in a steel case with a black ceramic bezel insert and steel three-link bracelet, and a bronze case with a black ceramic bezel insert and black and gold nylon NATO strap. Powered by the in-house caliber H-14 automatic movement, it is a “true” GMT allowing the local hour hand to be set independently.

This limited edition Tudor Pelagos FXD Chronograph honors the tradition of presenting a pink jersey to the winner of the Giro d’Italia, one of the most prestigious cycling races in the world. The black dial is accented with pink rings along the outer tachymeter track, which has been specially calibrated for cycling, and both sub-dial tracks. It comes on a black single-piece nylon pin-buckle strap with a pink racing stripe. Aside from qualifying for the race, the 300-piece run can only be attained through authorized dealers.

Luminox created an all white version of the Navy Seal 3500, typically found in black Carbonox, by using high-end fiberglass for the case and bezel. It makes the hulking 45mm case surprisingly lightweight but exceptionally durable. The dial is equipped with proprietary LLT tubes on each hour marker and hand, which creates a constant glow for up to 25 years. The matching white strap is made from natural rubber and finished with a signed steel buckle.

At first glance, you might think this 44mm watch is an absolute chunker, even on those with bigger wrists. Well, while it’s definitely on the larger side, it’s actually not very heavy, courtesy of its titanium case, which keeps the weight down to just a hair over 3.66 ounces. However, that material has an added benefit: it protects the in-house automatic caliber UN-118 movement during “extreme underwater performance,” as the brand puts it. Available with either a rubber or nylon strap, this watch also benefits shark conservation and advocacy with each unit sold (of which there are only 300 available).

French watchmaker Briston, founded in 2013, has utilized acetate in watch case construction for years. The material found in most glasses frames has never looked better on a watch than it does with the Streamliner Kennedy. This 36mm by 36mm square case has the crown set at twelve o’clock and topped with a lapis lazuli cabochon. The dial has an etched guilloché pattern at the center, framed by a railroad minutes track. The numerals are a mix of Roman and Arabic cut out of a top layer like stencils, placed over a contrasting bottom layer. Available in a silver dial or black dial, it comes on a quick-release leather strap and runs on a Miyota caliber 9039 automatic movement.

Armitron revived this bold sports watch from the 1980s in honor of its 50th anniversary. At 35.5mm, the lightweight plastic case is compact and comfortable on the move. It comes in yellow, white, black and light blue.
