For Only Watch 2023, Bulgari crafted an Octo Finissimo Tourbillon watch coated entirely in green marble, with a thin layer of the natural stone completely covering the watch’s case, dial and bracelet. For 2025, Bulgari has followed up that one-off with a watch that’s slightly more attainable. This time around, the green marble appears only on the dial — a more practical application that still brings plenty of unique character and beauty to the watch. The case is crafted from 18K yellow gold, while green alligator leather is used for the strap. Beating away inside is the remarkable BVL 268 Calibre, which at one time was the world’s thinnest tourbillon movement at just 1.95mm thick. The watch is priced at €140,500, which converts to around $164,000 as of this writing.

Citizen’s Promaster Dive collection has always been sporty and optimized for the water, but the new 41mm design has a more classic look that lends itself to year-round daily wear. At 41mm, it is the smallest case in the men’s line and comes on a timeless three-link steel bracelet. It runs on an Eco-Drive quartz and has a 200m water resistance, so it is still a true dive watch.

Certina’s take on a robust travel watch might just be the ultimate affordable GMT. Powered by an ETA quartz movement equipped with Heavy Drive and protected by Certina’s DS Concept Extreme Shock Resistance system, the watch can take a serious beating. And with a dual-function GMT/compass bezel and 200m of water resistance, it’s built to handle nearly any adventure.

Two renowned German brands, leaders in their respective fields, teamed up for a limited edition chronograph celebrating the 24 Hours at Nürburgring race. Stowa decorated its 44mm steel Big Eye chronograph with a black DLC coating. The dual-signed dial has Stowa and ABT Sportline’s logos and a stylized “24h” for the race. It is powered by a Sellita caliber SW510 automatic chronograph movement, and limited to 50 pieces.

Ciga Design’s twist on its award-winning Blue Planet design swaps out its 3D globe dial for a swirling galaxy drawn to a Super Black void at its center representing a black hole. The innovative watch features a polar star hour hand on the spinning galaxy and a rotating minute ring for a way of reading the time that’s out of this world.

In honor of Citizen’s Eco-Drive solar quartz tech turning 30, the brand has launched one of its finest watches to date. Built with traditional Japanese fine art techniques in mind, each example comes with a unique dyed paper dial. It also has a titanium case, an alligator leather strap and a perpetual calendar complication.

One of the most spec’d-out budget divers on the market, the Wren Diver 38 boasts a box sapphire crystal, a fully lumed ceramic bezel, a striking fumé-style sandwich dial, a nicely finished flat-link bracelet with a quick-adjust clasp and even a premium ETA 2892 automatic movement. A vacation-ready version of Chopard’s Alpine Eagle sports watch, the Beach Edition features a vibrant “eagle iris” patterned dial in either Rock Jasmine Pink or Maritime Blue, along with a matching integrated rubber strap. A COSC-certified in-house automatic movement, 100m of water resistance with a screw-down crown and a Lucent Steel case offering elevated hardness and brilliance round out an ideal summer watch.

In 2024, TAG Heuer and Hodinkee revived the legendary and elusive Abercrombie & Fitch Seafarer chronograph with a replicated time monitor complication. This standard Carrera Chronograph adopts the same color scheme used by the Seafarer during the 1950s and 1960s, but in a standard chronograph. The TAG Heuer caliber TH20-00 automatic movement has a 30-minute and 12-hour counter and boasts an 80-hour power reserve.

Casio’s MR-G is the pinnacle of G-Shock performance. The B2000 has a hulking 50mm titanium case with green DLC coating finished with Deep Layer Hardening. Exposed screws and an intengrated titanium three-link bracelet reference steel sports watches like the Royal Oak, but the dial is distinctively G-Shock four sub-dials and a date window offering every major timekeeping feature. The solar-powered quartz movement connects to the G-Shock app via Bluetooth and receives radio signal time updates.

The third generation of Swedish microbrand Nezumi’s Aviera GMT combines design elements of iconic 20th-century tool watches with modern sensibilities, resulting in a classically attractive tool watch with impressive finishing and specs for the price.

This limited version of Orient Star’s flagship sports watch boasts a meteor shower-inpsired dial that makes use of a new technology that involves injecting nanoparticle-ink into the dial to create incredible depth.

This has been a banner year for G-Shock, and the theme appears to be summer watches. This minimalist collab might be the best of them, though, with its semitransparent white case, subtle green colorway and those black bully bars. It’s a looker, for certain, but it’s also still a G-Shock, meaning it’s capable of handling just about anything you can throw at it.

Often, movie tie-in watches are cheap, quick cash grabs marred by gaudy branding and little attention to detail. Thankfully, G-Shock’s Fantastic Four watches are not among those examples. With virtually no branding, these watches let their colorway — a blue-on-white motif like that’s the inverse of the Fantastic Four’s signature outfits — do the talking. Watch customization shop IFL paid homage to Bulova’s Precisionist movement’s high-beating performance by comparing it to the admirable honeybee. This HPQ movement beats eight times faster than a standard quartz movement and is accurate to +/- 15 seconds per month. The monochromatic steel dial has a honeycomb texture, which is hand-painted with a unique honey drop pattern on each watch. It is limited to 500 pieces.

Benrus updates its iconic Type 1 military watch with an array of high-end update that transform the watch from a purpose-built tool to a more elevated piece that’s still plenty capable. Changes include a new ceramic bezel insert, a brushed and polished case, a champagne dial (with a logo) and more.

Laventure based the Marine Type 3 on vintage marine chronometers from the 1980s, featuring industrial design elements imbued with pragmatic beauty. The solid titanium case has a 60-minute scale etched into what is essentially the bezel. A military scale was used for the dial because it was the standard for analog marine chronometers. There is a black dial with lume dial markings and a fully-lumed white dial. It comes with two straps, a choice between four colors in a rubber dive strap, and a fabric two-piece strap.
