Only a couple of months ago, Timex dropped its Daytona-like Waterbury Heritage Chronograph. Perhaps needless to say, this ultra-affordable, racing-inspired Rolex dupe was a major hit.
Now, without giving enough time for the dust to settle, the brand has already launched another version of that watch. However, this edition — the Timex Waterbury Heritage Chronograph 39mm Fabric Strap — is sportier and, more importantly, even more affordable.

A racing legacy intact
Functionally speaking, this watch remains unchanged, both inside and out. It maintains its rotating tachymeter bezel, sub-dials, Daytona-inspired pushers, and so on.
It also maintains its styling, which is relatively minimalistic and clean for a racing chronograph and adds to its overall charm. While the black and silver and black and gold colorways remain, it does get a new version done in a black, silver, racing green and yellow motif — a nod to classic racing colors.
As before, the case is stainless steel, it has a mineral glass crystal and the whole thing is good for depths of up to 50 meters (remember, it’s decidedly not a diver). That case also protects the same Quartz Analog movement inside, which, while not particularly fancy, is utterly reliable and accurate.
