Rolex Quietly Launched a New Watch Bracelet. It May Be Its Most Comfortable Ever

It’s easily the most vintage-inspired.

  • Among hyped releases like the Land-Dweller, Rolex also debuted a brand-new bracelet at Watches and Wonders
  • Called Settimo, the bracelet has rows of seven links and lacks fitted end links
  • At launch, the Settimo is only available on the Rolex 1908 in yellow gold

Oyster. Jubilee. Presidential. Settimo?

Prior to Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025, Rolex had three bracelets in its catalog — four if you count the rubber-coated Oysterflex. The sporty Oyster bracelet, dressy Jubilee bracelet and prestigious Presidential bracelet are all iconic and frequently imitated throughout the watch industry.

Watches and Wonders Geneva: The watch world’s biggest release party may be over but the year in horology has just begun. Catch up on all the key novelties from Rolex, Panerai, Patek Philippe and more.

At the show, Rolex debuted the Flat Jubilee, the sharply finished new integrated bracelet on the much-hyped Land-Dweller — arguably Rolex’s most important new model in decades.

But Rolex also introduced a second bracelet at Watches and Wonders, and it may be the most comfortable the brand has ever produced.

Meet Settimo

Rolex has introduced the new Settimo bracelet as the first bracelet for its 1908 dress watch, which debuted itself as a new model exclusively on a leather strap at Watches and Wonders in 2023. Now that it has a bracelet of its own, the 1908 can further carve out its own unique identity in Rolex’s lineup.

Like the Day-Date, the 1908 only exists as a precious-metal model. Currently, there are references in yellow gold, white gold and platinum, but only the yellow gold gets the Settimo bracelet — at least for now.

The tiny links of the Settimo arguably make it Rolex’s most comfortable bracelet yet.

The Settimo bracelet is crafted from solid 18K yellow gold and consists of rows of seven rounded links. The bracelet is entirely mirror-polished and is secured with a hidden crown clasp. These details, combined with the small size of the links, make the Settimo the dressiest bracelet in Rolex’s catalog.

It’s also probably the most comfortable. I had the opportunity to try on a 1908 fitted with the Settimo bracelet at Watches and Wonders, and it flows like liquid on the wrist. The tiny, contoured links allow it to hug the wrist even better than a Jubilee, a bracelet widely known for its comfort.

The lack of fitted end links leaves a gap between the case and bracelet, giving the Settimo a decidedly vintage feel.

Another thing to note about the Settimo is how it comes across as a vintage bracelet. Rolex is one of the few major watch brands that doesn’t play in the vintage reissue sandbox, but the Settimo feels decidedly mid-century. Its opulent elegance, hidden clasp and, most notably, its absence of fitted end links all make the bracelet feel decidedly old school.

It remains to be seen whether or not the Settimo will join the pantheon of Rolex’s other bracelets by becoming a legend in its own right — that will probably require wider availability than what exists currently. But I can easily say that The Crown’s new bracelet is incredibly comfortable, and if you want vintage vibes from a new Rolex, there is no better choice.

Settimo is available now exclusively on the Rolex 1908 in yellow gold with a white or black dial for $35,000 — a $10,500 jump over the same watch on a leather strap.
