Panerai is celebrating its continued role as Official Timekeeper of the Luna Rossa sailing team, as they forge ahead to conquer the 38th America’s Cup set to take place in Naples, Italy, in 2027. The 38th edition of the cup marks a historic occasion: this is the first time the competition will be sailed in Italy, under the commanding shadow of Mt. Vesuvius and just off the waterfront of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In honor of this landmark occasion, Panerai is releasing two new Luminor novelties to the Luna Rossa collection: the Luminor Chrono Flyback Luna Rossa PAM01654 and the Luminor Luna Rossa PAM01653.

The Backstory
Both the Luminor Chrono Flyback Luna Rossa PAM01654 and the Luminor Luna Rossa PAM01653 are high performing mechanical timepieces. They symbolize Panerai’s continued push into new boundaries in performance, its commitment to embracing adrenaline and its drive to overcoming challenges — an ethos shared by the Luna Rossa team.
The new Luminor novelties are tested for the toughest conditions to ensure reliability, durability and functionality. It embodies both the key elements of the Luminor collection and new nods to the Luna Rossa aesthetic. Key elements include the signature crown protecting device with lever, and the luminous dial, which appears in both timepieces.
