Don’t you just love it when a brand listens to its fans?

When Oris first put its impressive in-house Calibre 400 movement inside its popular vintage-inspired Divers Sixty-Five model, the result was nice, but still felt a bit lacking. The monochrome watch was 40mm with a date at six o’clock and, most notably, a twelve-hour bezel in place of a traditional dive-time bezel.

The brand followed that up just a few weeks ago with the 2024 Hölstein Edition, which added the dive bezel but kept the 40mm sizing and date window. It’s also even more niche, thanks to a completely blacked-out colorway.

But what about those fans who want a Divers Sixty-Five in a smaller case size more fitting for the style’s vintage-inspired design, along with a dive-time bezel and a no-date dial, yet still powered by the Calibre 400?

Oris’s Calibre 400 is an impressive achievement for the brand, which is why they keep adding it to more and more watches.

The No-Date Calibre 400 Goes Small

Oris’s new watch is a direct response to fans who’ve been clamoring for a non-limited no-date version of the Calibre 400 and, to a slightly lesser extent, enthusiasts wanting a sub-40mm version of the Divers Sixty-Five.

The new watch is the only non-limited stainless steel 38mm reference in the current Divers Sixty-Five line. It also has a stainless steel dive-time bezel featuring the minutes scale in polished relief.

Finally, a no-date Calibre 400 comes to a non-limited Diver Sixty-Five … and in a smaller case size, too.

The dial is a gorgeous deep-green sunburst that to my eye looks very similar, if not identical, to the one we saw on the Aquis Date Calibre 400 released at Watches and Wonders back in April.

Flip the mid-sized watch over and you’re treated to a sapphire caseback showing off the no-date version of the Calibre 400 within. The movement is Oris’s flagship engine and boasts a full five-day power reserve, high magnetic resistance and a 10-year warranty to go along with its recommended 10-year service intervals.

No, It’s Not Limited

Oris previously released one other Divers Sixty-Five in 38mm with a no-date Calibre 400 inside, but it was a collab with Chronos Magazine and was limited to just 200 units.

The new green version is non-limited. As of today, it’s officially a member of Oris’s permanent catalog and hopefully a sign of more references to come in the future.

The Oris Divers Sixty-Five Calibre 400 38mm is sold on a three-link stainless steel bracelet and is water-resistant to 100m. It’s available now from Oris and is priced at $3,900.
