Planet Earth can be an unforgiving place, and no one knows it better than search-and-rescues teams. From blistering deserts to frigid mountaintops, first responders have to deal with the harshest climes known to man.
But it’s not just about dealing with extreme temperatures. Smoke, fog or simply heavy rain can introduce visibility issues that complicate matters tenfold, turning simple rescue missions into dangerous affairs that cost lives.
As such, many SAR teams only venture into the field wearing the aptly named safety yellow — now the star of G-Shock‘s latest three-piece collection.

As of this month, three of the brand’s most advanced models in its Master of G series are available with bright yellow bands and matching detailing that not only offer high visibility in the field but provide a striking contrast with the watches’ black-resin cases off it.
Built with purpose
The first in the series, a Gravitymaster for aviation (GRB300RY-1A9), is the simplest, and cheapest, of the bunch. However, it’s the only one to boast an analog display, with dual-time functionality, to boot.
