In October of last year, Echo/Neutra broke through with its first true blockbuster watch. Previously, the Italian microbrand, co-founded in 2018 by a designer and aerospace engineer, was relatively little-known even among hardcore enthusiasts and collectors.

Then came the Rivanera.

The dress watch looks like nothing else on the market. Its dial is classically styled with an Art Deco-inspired minute track, a Breguet hour hand and a small seconds display. But that familiar dial is housed in a contemporary sharp-angled case made of dark-gray Grade 5 titanium with a sandblasted finish.

Debuting last year with a gray or black dial, the unique Rivanera put Echo/Neutra on the map in a big way.

The Rivanera was originally released with a black or gray dial that aesthetically matches the modernity of the case, but now Echo/Neutra has launched a third version of the watch that better illustrates its unique contrast of design styles.

White Hot

The hottest affordable titanium watch on the market now comes with a white dial. Despite their classic styling, the gray and black dials of the two previous Rivanera references still felt pretty contemporary, with their dark colors matching the stealthy vibes of the case.

But the new white dial offers up a completely different visual experience. It leans harder into classic styles with its stark-white finish, and wouldn’t look out of place on a century-old Cartier Tank. Once paired with the Rivanera’s dark and brutalist sandblasted case, we’re left with a dress watch that’s equal parts classic and contemporary; a beautiful meditation on juxtaposition.

Outside of the dial color change, this is the same Rivanera that became such a hit last year. The case is still ludicrously thin and ridiculously light at 5.9mm and 21 grams, respectively.

The movement is still the ETA/Peseux 7001 hand-cranker that’s nicely decorated and visible behind a round sapphire caseback.

And the watch is still available on your choice of a Horween shell cordovan or Alpine calf leather strap, though this time, the Horween option comes in green rather than black.

Best of all, the Rivanera still clocks in with a price of just $1,490 — an astounding bargain for a Swiss-made watch with these materials, this movement and this unique of a design.

The Rivanera White is now available to order on Echo/Neutra’s website.
