- Insiders consider the Czapek Antarctique to be among the best integrated luxury sports watches on the market
- Czapek has now launched the ultimate version of the Antarctique with the Antarctique Tourbillon
- The watch celebrates the 10th anniversary of Czapek’s rebirth as a brand
The Czapek Antarctique is the ultimate “If You Know, You Know” sports watch. Czapek (pronounced Cha-peck) is hardly a household name, but hardcore enthusiasts and collectors have crowned the brand’s flagship Antarctique model as one of the finest integrated luxury sports watches on the market.

Having previously spent a couple of weeks with an Antarctique on my own wrist, I can attest to the watch’s outstanding quality. The beautifully textured dial, the impeccably crafted in-house automatic movement, the insanely comfortable and beautiful bracelet equipped with a quick-release system and hidden micro-adjust … it’s tough to beat.
But Czapek has now bested the Antarctique by launching an even better version of the watch. The new Antarctique Tourbillon houses a brand-new automatic movement, Calibre 9, which was produced almost entirely in-house — including the machining of most components — and features a flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock.

Notably, the tourbillon, gear train and mainspring barrel are aligned on a vertical axis and mounted on the dial side of the watch, creating a uniquely symmetrical layout. The visual splendor is amplified by a complex new vortex-like guilloché pattern the brand calls Singularité. It’s meant to function like a visual black hole, drawing your eye toward the action at the center of the dial.
