There are almost too many integrated luxury sports watches these days, but a select few tend to get the lion’s share of attention.
There’s the OG, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, with its fellow Holy Trinity members: the Patek Philippe Nautilus and Vacheron Constantin Overseas. What’s more, as of this year, the Rolex Land-Dweller has arrived with unprecedented fanfare to join this upper echelon.
But the watch that might be my favorite in the category is one that doesn’t get nearly enough attention.
It’s the Chopard Alpine Eagle, which has proven to be an incredibly versatile template for models as diverse as the ceramized titanium Cadence, the all-platinum XP CS and the iced-out Frozen Summit, among others.
Now, Chopard has launched a pair of new Alpine Eagle watches that are in strong contention for this year’s “watch of the summer” title.
