Editor’s Note: Watches & Wonders (formerly SIHH) has moved online and Baselworld 2020 is canceled, but that hasn’t stopped watch brands large and small from debuting their new wares. Stay on top of this year’s best new watch releases here.
London-based Bamford got an unusual start in the watch industry, controversially beginning as a Rolex customizer and later forming an official relationship with TAG Heuer. The brand since begun making its own timepieces with the same strong colors that it was known for applying to custom watches. Now, Bamford’s newest models take on a military-inspired look within its GMT collection.
These new Bamford GMTs are available in a black-dial version called Predator and two green-dial versions called Commando — one in bare steel and another with an all-black coating. Housed in a 40mm-wide, cushion-shaped case, the GMT collection is powered by the Swiss Sellita SW330 automatic movement with independently adjustable GMT hand. A 24-hour hand on the dial can be used to track another time zone in conjunction with and an inner rotating bezel controlled by the crown at 10 o’clock.
Available directly from the brand, the new watches each come on a steel bracelet and have the same price of around $1,130 regardless of the version or case finishing.
