Quietly making understated, minimalist watches in Sweden is the microbrand Bravur, and its newest limited-edition watches are characteristically handsome. They join the Scandinavia collection with two new dial colors in hues that are so muted you have to look twice to tell if they are green, blue or gray.
One variant has a dial that appears to be deep navy blue contrasted with gold-toned highlights, and the other model has a desaturated green dial. Along with everything else 2020 is shaping up to be, it’s clearly the year of the green dial in the watch world. Since green and blue can be done in many different ways, however, it’ll be interesting to see how Bravur’s colors react to different lighting situations.
Like other watches in the collection, the new limited editions have 39mm-wide steel cases and are powered by the Sellita SW300-1 Swiss automatic movement. There will only be 25 examples made of each of these handsome, minimalist watches. Each is assembled on-order in Sweden and will have a price of $1,150, available for purchase directly from the brand.
