As watch lovers, we spend our afternoons poring over watches both new and vintage. When a new timepiece comes across our radar, one that particularly resonates with our tastes, we can’t help but obsess over it. So, here’s a taste of that process — six timepieces that our watch-loving staff are obsessing over right at this very moment.
Farer Chronograph Sport

The watch that stuck with me most from last year’s WindUp show was also my favorite yet from British brand Farer. The Chronograph Sport feels kind of classic, but not corny, and I’d even say fresh. I’d go for the one called Moritz, with black dial, minty green highlights, and steel bezel. It’s also nicely sized at 41mm and not too chunky, thanks to a hand-wound movement. But the details make it. Example: those applied hour markers are solid-formed blocks of lume.–Zen Love, Staff Writer
Breitling 777 Chronograph

I wouldn’t be the first to say that Breitling’s designs are either hit or miss. This Breitling 777, however. is an absolute hit. The 38mm case was big for its time, but these days it’s considered relatively small — something I gravitate towards. I dig the two-register chronograph, which is more subtle than the Heur “Big Eye”, and the way the bronze tones pop off the black dial is brilliant. Like its reference number, scoring this would be like hitting the jackpot.–Tyler Chin, Editorial Associate, Editorial Operations
