The Q Timex 1979 vintage reissue watch was a sell-out, smash hit — bursting with style, rife with well executed details, and almost dirt cheap, it’s easy to see why. Now, Timex is building on that success and riffing on the base design with three new versions that change up the colors to good effect.

The look of the original with its woven steel bracelet, blue dial, and “Pepsi” (red and blue) bezel was already a perfect period throwback, but the new models offer a similarly ’70s feel. Nothing wrong with more options, right? They all have the same 38mm-wide case and other features that made the Q work so well. “Q” stands for “quartz,” as the dial proudly proclaims, and the best thing about the Q Timex watches is just how genuine they feel in reviving the era when inexpensive, battery-powered timepieces flooded the market. Especially when the trend is a return to mechanical, even at Timex.

The new Qs are available on Timex’s site for $179 each.
