Editor’s Note: Watches & Wonders (formerly SIHH) and Baselworld 2020 are canceled but that hasn’t stopped watch brands large and small from debuting their new wares. To stay on top of this year’s best new watch releases, visit our tag page.
Everyone loves a good collaboration, and perhaps no company more so than Breitling. This year, the Swiss watchmaker is celebrating 17 years of partnership with Bentley, the longest-ever partnership between a watch and an automobile brand, with the introduction of the Premier Bentley Mulliner Limited Edition watch. (Bentley’s Mulliner workshop has designed the manufacturer’s tailor-made models since 1959.)
Inspired by the design of Bentley’s Continental GT Mulliner convertible (and, more specifically, the Breitling clock in the GT’s dashboard), the new chronograph features a 42mm steel case, a steel dial with dual sub-dials, white tachymeter and red tachymeter scales inspired by vintage midcentury chronographs, and the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 auomatic movement with 70 hours of power reserve.
A limited edition of 1,000 pieces, the Bentley Mulliner Limited Edition ships on a blue alligator strap that recalls the interior of the GT, and retails for $8,650 USD.
