Known for a focus on Swiss quality and refinement at affordable prices, Alipina is adding variety to its sporty lineup with new outdoor-focused watches. Existing quartz watches within the Alpiner collection, which has a mountaineering theme, offer accessible pricing, and the new models now supplement these with the popular GMT function. Available in two colors on a strap or a steel bracelet, the Alpina Alpiner Quartz GMT is a handsome take on the GMT for roughly $970.

The GMT function adds the ability to track a second time zone via a 24-hour hand on the dial and a rotating bezel with 24 hour markers. This functionality is highly useful in today’s interconnected world, but the Alpiner is also built to be robust for mountain hiking and the like, and its 42mm steel case is 100m water-resistant.

The Alpina Alpiner Quartz GMTis available with either a gray or blue dial with a price of around $970 on a strap or about $1,080 on a steel bracelet.
