Here’s something you don’t see everyday — actually, you’ve likely never seen it before unless you happen to work at AP — an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in full titanium. A limited edition of 88 pieces, the watch celebrates the brand’s history with China and is meant exclusively for the Chinese market.

Developed in collaboration with noted collector Austen Chu (@horoloupe), the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar China Limited Edition, as it’s called, features a slate grey “Grande Tapisserie” dial with applied white gold hour markers and Arabic numerals. It’s water-resistant to 20m, though of course we wouldn’t recommend a dunk in the pool with it.

Other features include a 41mm x 9.5mm titanium case, and the AP cal. 5134 automatic movement with 40 hour power reserve. As this is a perpetual calendar, the watch displays hours, minutes, day, month, week, date and moon phase information. Shipping on a fully titanium bracelet as well as a red rubber strap and a grey hand-stitched alligator strap, the watch is exclusive to mainland China boutiques, and retails for $78,300.
