Branching out from its generally casual-chic lineup, New York-based indy brand Martenero has introduced its first dive watch. Not only does it feature increased water resistance, sapphire crystal, and a steel bracelet, but it’s even more affordable than almost any of the brand’s watches before it. The Martenero Belgrano comes in four colorful versions, each aggressively priced at $279 in a Kickstarter campaign (the price will increase to $295 when this early bird level is filled.)
Restrained in size for a dive watch, the Belgrano features a 39mm-wide (14.5mm thick) steel case and is water-resistant to 200m. The two darker versions in blue and black each offer a pop of color, but two other versions make a bolder statement with bright red and stark white dial and bezel combos. Dials feature plenty of lume, as dive watches should, here being of the Super-LumiNova C1 variety. The Belgrano is powered by the Seiko NH35 automatic movement with 41 hours of power reserve.
The Martenero Belgrano is expected to deliver in July, 2020.
