Autodromo, NYC-based maker of automotive-inspired watches, always delivers the goods at WindUp, the boutique watch show put on each fall in New York City at Chelsea Market (and now in San Francisco, as well) by our friends at Worn & Wound.
This year, brand founder and designer Bradley Price hit us with the Intereuropa, a manually wound, time-only model housed in a 39mm steel case and available in 3 dial colors. Taking its name from the Coppa Intereuropa race held at Monza from 1949-1964, the Intereuropa mirrors its Italian namesake with a svelte case design and soft lines.
Powered by the ETA 7001 manually wound movement, the watch features a multi-layered dial with a glass chapter ring whose numbering is inspired by 1950s automotive gauges. Within the chapter ring is a large brushed central dial featuring a small sub-seconds counter, all of which is framed beneath a sapphire crystal.
The watch ships on a scratch-resistant Saffiano calf leather leather rally strap, hand crafted in Rome, within a lacquered wood presentation box adorned with a cloisonné badge. Also included is a special collectible poster designed by Autodromo for the 1957 Coppa Intereuropa race. Available in silver-blue, gray and cream dials with matching straps and water-resistant to 50m, the Intereuropa is available for pre-order at a price of $1,250.
