Swiss watchmaker Oris regularly supports Movember, a successful men’s health-awareness campaign that highlights the causes of premature death among men. The Movember charity encourages men to grow and show off their mustaches during the month of November to highlight mens health issues, and Oris dedicates a watch to the occasion, donating part of the proceeds. For 2019, the brand’s ’70s racing-styled Chronoris gets the mustachioed treatment, expressed here as gold and orange highlights.

The Oris Chronoris Date is a time-only version of the modern chronograph the brand resurrected based on a vintage 1970s model. Like watches fitted with Super Compressor cases of that era, it features a rotating inner bezel that’s operated by one of the two crowns in its 39mm case. The Chronoris Date runs on the brand’s version of the Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement with 38 hours of power reserve. Explicit references to Movember are thankfully subtle, expressed here in the form of a handsome dial execution and “Oris Movember Edition” text on the solid case back.

As with previous Movember editions, the dial features gold-toned highlights, but here the addition of orange gives it an extra sporty pop. The Oris Chronoris Date Movember Edition has a price of $2,000 on a leather strap and $2,200 on a metal bracelet, and both include an extra red-and-white striped NATO strap.
