The watches Seiko makes for the domestic Japanese market continue to fascinate watch fans around the world. For its latest watch in the GPS-connected and solar-charged Astron line, Seiko has collaborated with the Japanese fashion brand Mastermind for a dark and serious-looking limited edition — and, again, it’s only available in Japan. This stylish flex of a watch is the Revolution Line 5X of Seiko’s highest-end and boldest-wearing Astron watches, and it features Mastermind’s skull-and-crossbones logo prominently at the top of the dial.

The 5X series represents a relatively recent update to the Astron collection with a refined design and reduced case size. The Revolution Line 5X, on the other hand, aims to take the details and high-end features a step further — as well as upping the size back to a bold 47.2mm wide. The sophisticated case architecture is executed in lightweight titanium with a hardening coating for scratch-resistance and super black Diashield. The bezel is in both ceramic and titanium.

Like other Astron 5X watches, the Revolution Line Mastermind Limited Edition offers all the premium features found in the collection, such as like solar charging and GPS that updates the time automatically when you change time zones — along with a host of other features including chronograph and world time. Available only in Seiko Watch Salon stores in Japan or from Mastermind Tokyo, the Seiko Astron Revolution Line 5X Mastermind has a price of around $6,180, and it’s limited to 150 pieces.
