Movado’s Connect smartwatch aims to combine a wearable tech experience with the historic brand’s watchmaking expertise. The new Connect 2.0 is the second generation of Movado’s smartwatch, and it features the latest tech from Google’s Wear OS platform, but now in thinner cases and smaller diameters.

The new Movado Connect 2.0 comes in 42mm-wide cases, just like the previous generation, but also new 40mm cases. Anyone familiar with standard watch measurements knows that 40mm is considered a solid, all-around watch case size, and is usually quite wearable on a wide range of wrists. Stainless steel cases come multiple colored finishes and are water-resistant to 10m — so you don’t really want to get these things near water.

In everyday situations, however, the Connect 2.0 will deliver notifications and fitness tracking capabilities, and it’s compatible with both Android and Apple iOS. It offers Google Pay as well an array of impressive functionality including a heart rate monitor, accelerometer, altimeter, gyroscope, microphone and more.

There is further a large selection of customizable watch face options, many of which reference the brand’s signature “Museum Dial” collection with the large dot at 12 o’clock. The new Movado Connect 2.0 watches are available in stores now and range in price between $495 and $750.
