Swedish watchmaker Bravur has cultivated a brand identity based on functional design and handsome, versatile watches with a Scandinavian sensibility. Now, in a small-batch limited edition, the company has introduced a new version of its Geography GMT watch with a gold-toned case and an attractive green dial.

The Geography follows the form of the brand’s previous watches closely with a similar approach to case and dial. Whereas the brand’s time-only watches have a recessed inner dial with a 0-60 scale, the Geography’s dial features a scale for the GMT hours, indicated by a syringe-like hand that remains out of the way of the main time-telling hands. The GMT complication is deservedly popular as it allows the user to conveniently and intuitively track a second time zone in 24-hour format.

Bravur emphasizes that the 39mm case, water-resistant to 50m, is made with steel from a historic Swedish company called Sandvik. It’s PVD-coated with a gold and titanium, according to the brand, for a “hard and durable surface.” Green dials are particularly on-trend now, and the combination of gold and green have proven attractive in recent examples.

Echoing sapphire crystal over the dial, the case back also features a sapphire window for a view of the Sellita SW330-1 automatic Swiss movement offering 42 hours of power reserve. Limited to only 25 pieces, the Bravur Geography GMT Limited Edition is available directly from the brand for a price of $1,850.
