We’re big fans of Defakto, a German watchmaker making minimalist, Bauhaus-inspired watches, such as the Vektor. The brand’s newest timepiece is the Transit Standard, which carries on the minimalist aesthetic familiar from the Vektor, but adds a thicker handset and indices and other touches.
The Transit offers a new 3-piece brushed 40mm case made in-house, a convex sapphire crystal and a Swiss-made ETA 2824-2 automatic movement. The dial is matte black and the handset and indices are coated in Super-LumiNova, and the watch features 30m of water resistance and ships on a German-made leather strap. It also measures just 9.8mm thick including the crystal.
If the Transit is anything like Defakto’s previous models, it should wear comfortably and look great while doing so. Pricing is ~$1,030 excluding VAT.
