As a simple, retro-styled dive watch, the Oris Divers Sixty-Five has enjoyed immense popularity and blossomed into a family of products offering a range of design, size, and material options. There have also been chronograph editions of the watch, such as the Carl Brashear limited edition. Now, Oris has worked with the famed watch retailer Bucherer, known recently for its collaboration watches, to offer something quite distinct.
The new Oris Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph Bucherer Blue Edition is not only strikingly blue, from its dial to its aluminum bezel, but its steel case actually helps make it more affordable than its bronze predecessor. With a suitably swim-ready 100m of water resistance, the Divers Sixty-Five will have a prominent profile at 43mm wide, and the yellowish lume color of its hands and indices contrasts particularly nicely with this shade of “Bucherer blue.”
Providing a symmetrical dial layout with two sub-dials and no date display is the Sellita SW 510 automatic chronograph movement with 48 hours of power reserve. This all looks great, but here’s the catch: the Oris Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph Bucherer Blue Edition seems to only be available in European boutiques or online with delivery to European countries. Bucherer recommends international customers contact them by phone or email. The price in Swiss francs comes to 3,950 CHF, which is currently the equivalent of about $3,935, but this number should be less without the need to pay European VAT.
