H. Moser’s designs can be polarizing, to say the least (or fun but seemingly pointless), but some of the company’s relatively conservative timepieces split the difference between “typical” and “outrageous” in just the right way.
While the Endeavour Flying Hours first debuted in 2018, Moser brought out two new dial variants at this year’s Baselworld that are admittedly stunning in person. The Flying Hours uses numeric discs that rotate independently — a central disc for the minutes and three surrounding discs that display the hour. This is difficult to describe in writing, but there’s something eminently satisfying about seeing it work in person (or on video).
The two new models in the line include a Cosmic Green dial and a Blue dial, the latter of which is done up in Globolight and Superluminova® and glows brightly in darkness (and look wild under UV light). A white gold case contains the HMC806 automatic calibre with minimum 3-day power reserve, and both watches ship on a black alligator strap. Both models are also limited editions and will retail for $35,000.
