Mido has introduced new Midnight Blue dials in its Baroncelli Collection, which are equipped with the Swatch Group’s 80-hour power reserve movement in an elaboré-grade (higher-level finishing) execution, visible through a display case back. These movements, which are based on familiar ETA calibers but utilize upgraded parts and features, sell for lower prices, leading to some great value propositions. While there may indeed be more excellent affordable dress watches out there, Mido offers welcome variety and value.
The Mido Baroncelli Midnight Blue watches are available in two versions sized for men at 38mm wide and only 9.1mm thick. Water-resistant to 50m and topped with sapphire crystals, a date windows at 4:30 adds a dash of whimsy to the deep blue dial. Price for the Mido Baroncelli Midnight Blue watch is $870 in stainless steel on a bracelet and $910 in rose gold PVD coating — both will be available from late March 2019.
