A Japanese Streetwear Brand Teamed Up With Seiko On This Cool Automatic Dive Watch

Seiko and Japanese streetwear brand BAPE joined forces on a camo-dialed diver — the catch is it’s only available in Japan and online.

This isn’t the first time that Japanese streetwear brand A Bathing Ape (BAPE) has teamed up with an established watch brand (check out these Bell & Ross models), but its newest collaboration, done with Japanese watch giant Seiko, seems like nothing short of a no-brainer.

The Japan Limited Edition Seiko X BAPE Mechanical Divers Watch has a fairly self-explanatory name, but it’s the BAPE camouflage livery that seems particularly well-suited to this timepiece. Otherwise, you’re getting a solid, 45mm steel diver rated to 200m of water resistance with a Hardlex (mineral glass) crystal, automatic 4R36 movement, rotating dive bezel and urethane rubber band. The Japanese-made 4R36 movement can be hand-wound and features a 41-hour power reserve.

The limited-edition watch is priced at roughly $550 and will be available on 2/9/19 in Japan (customers will have to enter a lottery at select BAPE store locations in order to be selected for a chance to purchase the watch). Additionally, it seems that the watch may also be available on the bape.com webstore and zozotown.com beginning on the same day.
