Longines’s Heritage Collection is consistently killing it. Its done everything form vintage-style “Calatrava” dress watches, to a beautiful recreation of an RAF pilot’s watch, to the ever-popular Legend Diver. Adding to that lineup is yet another dive watch, the Heritage Skin Diver, which harkens back to an old-school dive watch from the late ’50s.

As such, the dial — which appears to have a speckled texture — features lots of beige-hued lume and Arabic numerals at 12, three, six and nine o’clock (the ever-popular “Explorer” configuration) and is flanked by a thin, PVD-black bezel. The watch’s case is comprised of the sleek lines that characterized dive watches of the era, though at 42mm it’s a bit on the larger side, though not aggressively so — it’s also water resistant to 300 meters. Inside ticks away a Longines Caliber L888.2, essentially an ETA caliber retuned to boast a longer (65-hour vs. 42-hour) power reserve. Better still is the omission of the date function, giving the dial a clean and symmetrical look.

The Skin Diver is available from Longines right now for $2,600 and comes with your choice of either a rubber strap, a leather strap or a mesh steel bracelet.
