Back in 2015, watch collector Mike (@mikeswatches) teamed up with watch strap creators extraordinaire at Crown & Buckle to craft a special Nato strap for charity, in honor of Mike’s wife Jaclyn’s diagnosis of breast cancer, which she received shortly after the couple welcomed their first child. In 2015 and 2016 they managed to raise over $20,000 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Now, Crown & Buckle have brought out a new version of the strap and are hoping to raise another $20,000+ for cancer research. The new Nato is a gunmetal grey seat-belt nylon (the type of strap that received our Editor’s Choice for best Nato strap) with a pink stripe down the center and the #Straps4ACure hashtag engraved on the buckle. The straps are available in 20mm and 22mm with either brushed stainless steel or black PVD hardware. C&B will donate 50% of each strap sale ($17 per strap) to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which will support their efforts to prevent, treat and cure breast cancer.
With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month (and Jaclyn now 3-years cancer-free), this Nato is a great way to help spread awareness for a good cause, and to spruce up your watch with new life and color, while you’re at it.
