They’re made from an oak tanning process that takes two weeks to finish.

Not so long ago, Hodinkee bolstered its e-commerce offerings with new and vintage watch sales, but it all started with its selection of high-end watch accessories. Today, Hodinkee still shows it can offer super-detailed products in this area, and nowhere is that more apparent than its new selection of watch cases. Starting at $380 and ranging up to $940, they’re pricey, but if you have a collection of high-end watches and want a carrying case to match, they seem worthy of the investment.

The lineup of cases — which range from a double-watch carrier to one that houses eight pieces — features a leather exterior made through an oak-tanning process. The leather is kept between two pieces of wood for two weeks, which hardens and molds the leather into shape. Supposedly, this allows Hodinkee to eighty-six the hardeners you’d normally see inside the case, keeping the profile slim but still protective. Inside, the case features padding and a soft surface to keep your timepieces safe.
