The Oris Chronoris is one of our favorite chronographs – it perfectly nails the experimental style of early ’70s sports watches and packs in a mechanical chronograph movement for not a ton of money. The Chronoris has long been available in the form of the brand’s collaboration with the Williams F1 team but now the watch is getting a limited edition of 200 pieces.
So what changed? For one, the dial eschews Williams’ signature blue for bright orange accents, as well as a simpler dial layout that ditches the white block markers on the dial. The rest of the original watch’s features remain: there’s still a 40mm barrel-shaped case, as well as an Oris movement based on the long-lived Valjoux 7750. It’s available on either a steel bracelet, a leather strap or rubber, and as a bonus it comes in a leather zip-up case with an additional NATO strap.
