If you have a dive watch, chronograph, field watch or any other kind of tool watch, a leather NATO is a great way to dress it up while playing to its utilitarian sensibilities. Leather NATOs combine the convenient pull-though build of a NATO but has the smart look of a typical two-piece leather strap. As is the case with most quality watch straps, they generally don’t come cheap, but Crown & Buckle just released a new leather NATO that comes in at a very tempting $32.
The strap isn’t made from some cheapo leather, either. Its crafted from vegetable-tanned bridle leather that’s durable but will still darken and patina with age. The strap comes in five different colors, in 18mm, 20mm or 22mm widths and is available with either brushed or polished stainless steel hardware, so you can find the right one to perfectly match your watch.
