A new watch strap is the best way to breathe new life into a timepiece, vintage or modern, and high-end leather especially has an ability to dress up almost any kind of timepiece. And thanks to the Internet, there’s an exceptional amount of choice when it comes to small, high-quality leather strap makers. Adding to that array of choice are these beautiful straps from Molequin, which have just arrived in the Revolution Watch store.
Molequin itself was formed just in 2016, though this is the first we’ve heard of the Belgian brand. According to their website, the strap maker only uses ethically-sourced leathers and works with tanneries in France and Italy. The brand’s calfskin straps are available with both pebbled and smooth textures, while colors range from conventional choices like black and tan to some bolder colors like light blue and forest green. Molequin even offers a 19mm lug width, a relatively hard-to-find strap width that’s necessary for some vintage watches that have that less-common lug size.
