Another day, another Timex collaboration. Continuing its long and fruitful partnership with menswear designer Todd Snyder, the brand has just unveiled a slew of new timepieces based on a Timex MIL-W-46374B, a super-rare military-spec timepiece that it made for two months in 1982. The MIL-W-46374B, notably, was made to be disposable, featuring a plastic case and a hand-winding mechanical movement (this is back when quartz watches were still a relatively new technology).
The new MK1 watches from Todd Snyder take their inspiration from this watch but are modernized for modern wear. More specifically, the plastic case has been ditched in favor of stainless steel, and the movements inside are quartz, not mechanical. The series is made up of three chronographs and three time-only watches, are available on woven straps or steel bracelets, and will start at $99.
