One of Our Favorite Casual Watches Now Comes in Titanium

Now sporting a case that’s lighter and more hypoallergenic.

IWC’s Mark XVIII pilot’s watch has recently received a new titanium-cased iteration. The original just so happens a Gear Patrol favorite, which we dubbed “the perfect causal watch” for its legible dial, great case size and robust construction, but now it benefits from a lighter build and a hypoallergenic material. Further, the watch comes with great new design details like beige-colored lume on the hour markers and blue accents on the hands.

The rest of the watch retains what we loved about the original: a 40mm case, and classic aviation-inspired dial and an automatic movement protected by an anti-magnetic soft-iron cage inside the case. Best yet, the titanium upgrade doesn’t come at much of a price increase; when the watch goes on sale this November it will cost $4,150, just a $200 premium over the standard model.
