Bid on These Pristine Vintage Watches While You Still Have the Chance

You might even be able to score a solid deal.

Earlier this week, Christie’s held its Rare Watches and American Icons auction where high-profile watches like a “lemon-dial Paul Newman” sold for nearly $900,000 and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis’s Cartier Tank (purportedly purchased by Kim Kardashian) went for $379,500. If you weren’t able to attend — or just don’t have Kardashian-level wealth — Christie’s is continuing to auction off lots online for the next few days.

The watches here aren’t quite as rare, but that’s fine — they’ve all been vetted by industry experts and appear to be in pristine condition. Many also look like they might be acquired at relatively bargain prices. Bidding for this vintage Seamaster Chronograph sits at only $1,500 (there’s also a host of vintage Seamasters that haven’t broken $1,000), while the current bid on this ’50s Rolex Oysterdate is $1,900.
