Rolex’s new addition to its under-appreciated and dressy Cellini line is stunning. Not just because it comes in a gorgeous 39mm rose gold case. Not just because it has a white-lacquer dial. Not just because it’s accurate to +/-2 seconds a day. No, this watch is a powerhouse because it’s the first Rolex to have a moonphase complication in decades.
Naturally, Rolex went all out. The brand claims the moonphase function can go 122 years before it needs to be adjusted for accuracy (you know, assuming it’s constantly running for 122 years), and the moon on the rotating blue disk is made out of goddamn meteorite. There’s also a date function indicated around the dial via a blue, moon-tipped hand. Naturally, it doesn’t come cheap — expect to pay $26,750.
