In 1970, Oris released its first chronograph: the Chronoris. You can get a modern interpretation of that watch with a chronograph movement — but for 2017, Oris just unveiled a three-hand version that is, to be honest, simpler, cheaper and better-looking, and it does essentially the same thing.
The trick is the internal rotating bezel, which is rotated via crown to sync with the current time. Let time elapse, and boom, you’re up and timing. And while the internal rotating bezel became fairly common in some tool watches in the late ’60s and ’70s, it’s the cushion case, the silver dial and the bright orange hour markers and seconds hand that make this watch really feel in tune with the era of its roots. The watch is available on a nato, rubber or leather strap, or a steel bracelet. Pricing will start at $1,750.
