With traditional looks and a sub-$1,000 price point, Shinola’s playful but handsome diver known as “The Duck” is one of our favorite recent quartz watches. Initially launched in four variations, two new colorways have now joined the mix: green and gray, enlivened by orange highlights and strap options.

Maintaining the collection’s 42mm case, the watches’ 200m water resistance is on par with many dive watches, and perfectly suitable for most recreational diving (although Detroit-based Shinola suggests that they’re actually intended for surfing on the Great Lakes). They’re powered by the brand’s Argonite 713 quartz movement, which is assembled by the brand using Swiss components, and each use an expandable rubber strap.
Each version of these Shinolas comes on a strap match its dial color of gray (featuring orange hands and indices) or khaki green, as well as including a second “blaze orange” strap. The price for either variant? $695.
