Americana-inspired menswear designer and noted Timex enthusiast Todd Snyder has just unveiled his latest collaboration with the stalwart American watch brand. The Military Watch takes its inspiration from rare vintage Timex watches and other military timepieces from the ’60s and ’70s. Notably, the color scheme on the dial looks like a direct homage to a military version of the Viscount Automatic from the late ’70s, though the broad arrow at 6 o’clock looks picked from a W10, a watch originally produced by brands like Smiths and Hamilton and issued to the British Ministry of Defence.

The watch is powered by a reliable quartz movement housed in a 40mm stainless steel case and features Timex’s patented Indiglo illumination. The whole thing comes on an olive-drab NATO strap. It’s available now, for a mere $138, making it a great addition to a budding watch collection.
