There’s a new player joining the burgeoning dive watch market – RedSea Dive Watches, started by two moonlighting nine-to-five guys with big dreams (like so many of us). RedSea is taking pre-orders on two models, the Holystone and the Six Pounder. Bonus points if you know the origins of the model names.
RedSea’s two owners took inspiration from the rough and tumble days when pirates roamed the high seas. Both of their models will come in the same 316L steel case, water-resistant to a depth of 300 meters. You have a choice of brushed steel or PVD, both sporting a chunky 120-click timing bezel and killer luminescent markers and hands, courtesy of the wizards over at Lüm-Tec. Both models come with a Japanese Miyota 9015 automatic movement, sapphire crystal and three included strap options – a steel bracelet, rubber strap, and a tactical nylon strap. Coming in at under $600, this is a brand to keep an eye on. Stay tuned to Gear Patrol for a full review when the watches are available.
