When planning a road trip, one of the big unknowns is the weather. It’s unpredictable as is, but as you drive through different parts of the country, the weather obviously changes as well. And it can have a big impact on road conditions, traffic and general time in the driver’s seat. So, how do you plan for it?
That’s the problem that Wayther, a new iPhone app, is attempting to solve.

Road Trip Weather: Wayther
As first reported by TechCrunch, Wayther is a new navigation app specifically designed to help travelers plan road trips around the weather. Its unique forecasting feature gives you weather information along your route, allowing you to plan around it. The app allows you to plan your trip up to 10 days in advance.
Wayther works similarly to Apple Maps or Google Maps in that when you type in a starting point and a destination, it gives you three different routes. There are features to help you avoid tolls and highways, as well as pick the date and time of your road trip, too.
