Nomad, makers of high-end Apple accessories and wallets, have brought the two world’s together for one of the thinnest Find My trackers on the market. The new Tracking Card works like an AirTag but looks like a credit card, making it an elegant solution for EDC minimalists who like to keep their carry light.

The Tracking Card integrates with Apple’s native Find My app. That means that, like an AirTag, it passively communicates with other people’s nearby Apple devices, which in turn work as relays to pinpoint the card — and thus, a wallet.

Though Nomad has long offered a credit-card-shaped AirTag holder for users who wanted to track their wallet, it is only as thin as an AirTag — which is equivalent to about ten credit cards, Nomad says.

At just 2mm, the Tracking Card, by comparison, is equivalent to two standard credit cards, which is a significant drop in bulk in thickness. Not only does this make it more compatible with card holders and compact wallets, it also prevents the tracker from over-stretching the pocket of a larger leather wallet.

Other notable features

The Tracking Card isn’t the first minimalist tracker, however, it does bring some other notable features to the category. These include wireless Qi and MagSafe charging in lieu of a replaceable battery, and every charge lasts up to five months, according to Nomad.

The Tracking Card is also IPX7 rated, meaning it’s highly resistant to liquids. It can be submerged in water for up to 30 minutes without permanent damage.

Pricing and availability

Good things come to those who wait. The Tracking Card is available for $40 but currently “backordered” for a late August delivery date. Until then, hold onto your wallet.
