Your inbox is likely flooded with subscription emails from websites, retailers and newsletters you rarely ever use or read. When you see them, they’re what I like to call “quick deletes.”

For Gmail users, there’s good news. Google is rolling out a neat new feature that promises to help filter out these subscription emails. And if you want to unsubscribe from them, you can do so in one fell click.

As noted in Google’s blog post, Gmail is getting a new “Manage subscriptions” feature that allows you to view and manage all the emails from your active subscriptions.

You’ll be able to find this “Manage subscriptions” feature by opening Gmail, selecting the Main Menu button (the three lines located in the top-left corner of your inbox), and selecting the Manage subscriptions tab.

When selected, Google says that “it’ll sort your active subscriptions by the most frequent senders alongside the number of emails they’ve sent you in the past few weeks.” You’ll be able to click any of these senders to see all the emails they’ve sent you.

Additionally, in this view, next to each sender is an “Unsubscribe” button. If selected, Gmail will send an unsubscribe request to the sender on your behalf … and you’ll stop receiving emails from them.

Boom. Hooah.

When’s it coming?

Google has already updated the web version of Gmail with the “Manage subscriptions” feature.

If you use the Gmail app on your smartphone, Google says the Android app be updated starting July 14th, while the iPhone app will be started starting July 21st.
