McIntosh just announced its newest hybrid integrated amplifier, the MA352, which is the next-generation of the company’s well-liked MA252. Like its predecessor, the McIntosh MA352 is also decked out with the company’s high-end vacuum tubes, solid-state audio design and signature green glow; but the new model has quite a few upgrades.
The McIntosh MA352 is twice as powerful as the MA252; it’s able to outputs 200-watts per channel into 8 Ohm speakers (or 320-watts per channel into 4 Ohm speakers), meaning it should be able to drive pretty much any loudspeakers you have (or dream of) and help deliver the best possible sound. The MA352 also has McIntosh’s signature blue power meters, which fans of the brand simply adore.
According the press release, the MA352 has two balanced and three unbalanced inputs, along with 1 Moving Magnet phono input with adjustable loading. There’s a stereo preamplifier output in case you want to connect a higher-powered amplifier (or two powered subwoofers).
The McIntosh MA352 is expected to cost $6,500. It’s available now for preorder, with shipping expecting to start in September.
