There’s a pretty good chance that over the past couple of months or so, you’ve been spending a lot more time hanging out at home than you were previously used to.
So for many of us, our screen time is way up — which means we may as well make the most of it from a quality standpoint. And quality doesn’t just refer to the latest peak TV limited series from your favorite streaming service; it’s also about the viewing experience itself.
If you’re ready to look at a new TV screen, an OLED TV powered by self-lit pixels is an amazing choice. Whether you’re looking for something on the smaller end or making moves to turn your living room into a home theater, LG makes plenty of innovative options.
What is OLED?

OLED stands for “organic light-emitting diode.” A single diode, like the individual pixels found on LG’s OLED TVs (like the LG GX 77 inch Class with Gallery Design 4K Smart OLED TV) are self-lit and emit both light and color — so they don’t require a backlight.
LG’s OLED TVs are powered by 8.3 million of these pixels which deliver perfect black and show true color. The result is a picture that delivers impressive picture quality and details that are far more vibrant than what you get from a traditional TV screen — with a sleeker design.
