Wunderlist Is Gone. But Its Founder Has a New Productivity App for Its Diehard Fans

Superlist is an upcoming productivity app developed by Christian Reber, the original founder of Wunderlist.

For years, Wunderlist was one of the most popular and powerful project management apps for individuals and teams. But Microsoft, after acquiring Wunderlist back in 2015, officially shut it down (as of May 6) and is now encouraging consumers to switch over to Microsoft To-Do, its own productivity app. Christian Reber, the original founder of Wunderlist, offered to buy back from Microsoft this past fall to prevent it being shut down (which he spelled out bluntly in the below tweet), but it was to no avail.

It’s not all bad news for Wunderlust fans, though. Reber announced early this week that he’s been working a new productivity app, called Superlist, and we’re guessing that it’s poised to work a lot like Wunderlist. Reber called the app “a fresh new take on supercharged team productivity,” and continued to explain his vision in the below tweet.

Aside from that, not a lot is known about Superlist — including when it’s going to be available. If you’re interested to learn more about the new app, you can submit your email on their website to get news on the latest announcements.
