Your pup needs all the love and protection you can give him, especially during hot summer months when he’s in danger of heat stroke. Marketing firm Rethink Toronto and the Toronto Humane Society are hoping to keep pooches cool with the Dog Caller, a high-tech piece of doggie bling that utilizes a SIM card, thermistor and LEDs to monitor temperatures around your best friend. If heat rises to dangerous levels, the intelligent collar will send a warning text message to your cell — letting you know lassie could use a trip to the well and some A/C. Rethink hopes to release the Caller in 2013 at around $20, giving your dog a good reason to let out a hearty bark of relief.
